ARCHES
Learn exercises to strengthen the foot muscles and tendons, to acquire a perfect arch for soft shoe.

BALLET BARRE
Combining ballet moves with Irish dance moves to help each dancer enhance their ability. By using typical ballet barre drills, we hope to provide the dancer with a better insight into the tools used to achieve better turnout, crossing, extension and poise.

CAMP CRAFTS
What’s summer camp without craft time! We will offer a few different crafts campers can partake in and take their completed craft home! Some possible crafts are tie dye, friendship bracelets, picture frames, arts and crafts and more! One of our incredibly talented crafting staff members will lead campers through the different projects all while jamming out to our class made playlist of tunes!

CEILI
A fun class for all levels! Camp staff instruct some of the 30 Ceilis that are in the official, “Ar Rince Foirne Book” designed by the Comisiun le Rinci Gaelacha in Dublin, Ireland. This class is perfect if you just want to learn or plan to sit for your TCRG! All levels.

DANCERS DIET & NUTRITION
A new class this year! We are excited to have a dietician/nutritionist speak to our dancers about the importance of taking care of their body. Learn proper foods to eat for energy and increases athletes’ performance. Also, learn the importance of water for the body.

DRILLS
For the dancer who can’t get enough! In this class, Instructors provide repetitive movements to work on agility, endurance and stamina.

EMPHASIS ON THE BACKFOOT
The backfoot is an important element in Irish dancing but can be very challenging for dancers to nail down! The instructors will work on various drills and exercises to make sure the backfoot is hitting every beat its supposed to!

FANCY FOOTWORK
Got moves? Here we choose a couple of trendy movements and break them down for the hour. This class is divided into different levels.

FIX THOSE CLICKS!
Instructors will use techniques and exercises to get those clicks just right so that they are heard every time.

GRADE EXAM REVIEW
This year we will not be offering Grade Exam Prep during regular class time. If you are interested in having a class to prepare you for your Grades, we recommend signing up for this.

HIIT WORKOUT (High Intensive Internal Training:
CRC will be stepping things up a notch and taking our campers outside for some cardio workout. This class is intended to challenge our campers, with short periods of intense aerobic activity to help increase stamina, flexibility, and endurance.

IRISH LANGUAGE
An introductory class for those interested in learning Ireland’s National language. Learn how to count, say hello, goodbye, ask questions, etc!

IRISH SPORTS
Expand your Irish Culture and learn the popular sports of Ireland such as Gaelic Football or Hurling.

LIFT IN LIFTS
Having problems getting the height or execution you need for your lifts? Also called Overs.

MAKE IT SNAPPY!
Is your dancing lacking energy? Great pull-ups, sharpness and long extensions are what makes a beautiful and strong dancer.

MIND THE GAP:
Perfect class for dancers who have trouble over crossing and/or keeping knees tight while trebling.

MINDSET OF A DANCER:
As dancers we can offer doubt our abilities, struggle with confidence, or psych ourself out before we get on stage. This class will focus on the importance of mental health in dancers and get your confidence to the next level. The objective of the program is to educate performers on how their minds and emotions work, allowing them to work themselves through specific challenging circumstances.

POSTURE & ARMS
Having problems with your carriage? Instructors will devote the whole hour giving tips and exercises that can help you to straighten your back and keep those arms tucked in!

RHYTHM & TIMING
Do you listen to Irish dance music outside of practice time? Well, you should. Learn more tips and rhythmic combinations to help with timing.

SHOWS BEHIND THE SCENES
Ever wanted to know what it’s like to be in a World Touring Dance Show? Hear stories and backstage gossip straight from the Professionals. Lecture, no dancing involved.

SHOW STEPS
Ever wanted to learn ‘Reel around the Sun’, ‘Distant Thunder’ or the opening of LOTD? This class does just that. Taught by our Dance Instructors, you will be able to perform the show’s steps TO MUSIC!! This class is broken down by level.

STAGE Presence
One of our more popular classes! Did you realize that walking on and off the stage are just as important as your dancing? What and when is the correct way to bow? How should you smile? Should you look at the judge or not? This class works on stage presence and most importantly, stage etiquette.

STRENGTHENING & FLEXIBILITY
By using leg weights and thera-bands, our Yoga Instructor will use strengthening exercises and drills to work the body to encourage strength and flexibility and reduce injuries.

TAKE CARE OF THOSE FEET!
Our ‘in house’ Nurse will provide tips for the dancers on taking care and preventing blisters, injuries, in grown toe nails and many more. Our Nurse will demonstrate how to properly wrap a foot and will also introduce the current over counter remedies for common dancing foot aliments. This is an important class if you have such injuries! Added plus…. You get to soak your feet during class!

TOE WORK
Need work going up on your toes? This class incorporates stretches and exercises to aid the muscles when going up on your toes in hardshoe. We will also combine core strengthening to work on the back muscles and abs so that you stop body stops wobbling and your foot is supported.

TIME FOR TURNOUT
By using exercises, techniques and dance props, we will help enhance your turnout!

TRADITIONAL SETS
An instructional class, for all levels, who wish to learn the four traditional Set Pieces. For those planning to take levels 4-12 of Grade Examinations, this class will be a quick review to prepare.

TREBLE REEL
A fun Thursday class! Staff members work together with campers to choreograph fun (and sometimes silly) treble reel steps.

TROUBLE WITH TREBLES
Not getting the right sound out of your trebles? Our Instructor will take the entire hour to breakdown the rhythm and give the dancer a better understanding of the different treble sounds in ID.
