About CRC’s California Camp

Our host, Westmont College, is a private Christian liberal arts institution located in Santa Barbara, California. This partnership offers us the opportunity to expand the variety of camp programs while maintaining the intimacy that has contributed to our success. CRC will occupy only a small section of the campus for dance classes and related activities. Westmont prioritizes student safety with 24/7 campus security, an on-site EMS squad, and a well-lit campus. In addition, we will provide a 24/7 registered nurse on staff. Our dorms and dance spaces will be exclusively for CRC campers and staff.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

• Double-occupancy rooms with communal showers and bathrooms for every 6 rooms in the hallway.
• Campers requesting a triple room will need prior approval from the office, as availability is limited.
• Each floor also offers common areas where campers and their groups can socialize before lights out and during free time.
• All campers, counselors, nurses, and camp volunteers are housed in the same dormitory
• Campers will share their floor with fellow campers of similar ages
• Males and Female campers/ staff are housed on separate floors
• Westmont College does not provide air-conditioning in living quarters, campers are permitted to bring small, portable fans.
• Campers must supply their own linens and pillows for “college twin” sized mattresses.

CLASSROOMS:

• Classrooms are air-conditioned
• Large dance and theatre department giving us access to production stages, black box theaters, rehearsal rooms, and beautiful dance studios
• Athletic fitness rooms
• Classrooms for lectures, Q & A’s with the instructors, group meeting times etc.

MEALS:

• 3 daily meals will be served on campus in The Dining Commons. Offering plenty of healthy hot and cold food & beverage options for each meal
• Westmont’s dining hall can accommodate all dietary needs such as gluten free, vegetarian or vegan diets as well as allergies such as peanut/tree nut.

SAFETY:

• CRC will only be using a small section of campus dedicated to our campers and staff while we are there.
• 24/7 Campus Safety & EMT’s. They are always on hand in case of an emergency.
• Campus is equipped with emergency alert systems throughout, their well-lit campus

Transportation to California

By Car:
Westmont is easily accessible from the 101 highway. Directions will be emailed out about a week before camp starts.

 By Plane:
Camp Rince Ceol provides shuttle service ($50.00 roundtrip) to/from Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (15-20 minutes from airport). For information on which airlines are serviced refer to their website.

We ask flights be prearranged and coordinated with our shuttle service. All incoming flights must arrive between the hours of 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Departure flights must leave between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. We do not make any exceptions for times. Please contact the office with any questions.
If you are flying as an unaccompanied minor and need to provide the airline with information, please contact the camp office for this information. You may provide the airline with the address and phone number above. Information will be available after June 1.

For campers & families flying together in both Uber and Lyft are available in the area.

By Train:

CRC provides shuttle service ($50.00 roundtrip) for campers taking Amtrak. The closest station is Santa Barbara Station (5-10minutes from campus).  For campers & families taking the train together both Uber and Lyft are available in the area.
